At RiverArts JazzCamp, students immerse themselves in music! JazzCamp provides an engaging and rewarding experience, giving students the opportunity to work amongst dedicated peers with some of New York City’s finest artists and educators.
JazzCamp includes:
- Theory and Listening classes
- Master classes
- Jam Sessions
- Ensemble Performance for families on Friday evening
- Studio Recording Sessions on Saturday morning
All instrumentalists and vocalists entering grades five and up are welcome. We recommend two years of prior playing or singing experience. Each student will be placed in an appropriate ensemble on the first day of camp.
Space is limited and early registration is encouraged!
Camp Information
We are closely monitoring developments with COVID 19 and have established social-distance and sanitization protocols in accordance with NYS guidelines for JazzCamp. We will make use of outdoor spaces as much as possible and require mask wearing by all. There will be sanitation stations throughout the facility and staff will clean all shared spaces multiple times during the day.
DATES: One week only; July 26 – 31
TIME: Monday – Friday 9am – 3pm; Concert for families Friday July 30th @ 7pm; Saturday 10am – 1pm recording session
FOOD: Your child should bring lunch, snacks and 2 water bottles; no snacks or water will be provided by RiverArts
PLACE: First Reformed Church, Hastings-on-Hudson
Fees & Registration
- $700 per student plus a $35 registration fee per family
- 10% early bird discount for registrations thru May 15
- Partial scholarships are available to those in need. The application deadline for scholarships is June 1, 2020 and is part of the registration form. Click here for a Scholarship Application
- Funding for scholarships is provided, in part, through the RiverArts Kristeen Nelson Memorial Scholarship Fund, ArtsWestchester, and by individual donations.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your child’s enrollment for camp for any reason:
- Up to three weeks prior to the first day of camp: Full refund minus $35 processing fee.
- After three weeks prior to the first day of camp up to one week prior to the first day of camp: 50% refund.
- No refunds will be made less than seven days prior to the first day of camp.
