Since the summer of 2011, RiverArts Jazz Ensembles have been a wonderful opportunity for students to explore well-known jazz, funk, and pop standards. Get some experience in the world of improvisation! Students are guided and coached through improvisatory techniques. The Ensemble performs multiple times throughout the year, giving students confidence and strength in their growth as an individual and as a member of a group.
For participation, students should have a basic knowledge of scales, chord symbols, and music notation. There is a consultation for admission to help ensure balanced ensembles. New students are welcome and encouraged to join!
Semester Information
Class length: 75 minutes
Time: Mondays and Tuesdays, late afternoon or early evening. Specific times to be determined depending upon participants.
Fees & Registration
Tuition: $560*
*Includes rehearsals, materials, and up to two performances. The semester runs 16 weeks.
