RiverArts offers two signature programs for dance lovers each year, to send your spirits soaring, leaping, and spinning.
Our annual dance concert, under the direction of former Alvin Ailey and Martha Graham principal dancer Maxine Sherman, invites guests to explore established professional companies and rising stars on the scene. Maxine strives to bring the “best of dance” to our Rivertowns community each fall, with styles ranging from contemporary to jazz and tap, ballet to hip-hop. Past guest artists include Ailey II, Limon Dance Company, Rashaun Mitchell, Ballet Hispanico, Trisha Brown Dance Company at Untermyer Gardens Conservancy, Caleb Teicher, and Nic Gareiss.
